In association with Daryl Burchmore, one of the best 007 collections in existence will be on show to the public for a limited time. With the blessing of the Llewelyn family, this exhibition will take the form of an official tribute to the great actor who is best known for his role as ‘Q’ Daryl began his collection seriously in 1979 and has amassed something like 2000 items including autographs of all the major Bond stars, scripts, costume from The Spy Who Loved Me, publicity items, toys, confectionery, magazines, soundtracks and videos. Daryl says that his first Bond film he saw was On Her Majesty’s Secret Service which is still his favorite followed closely by From Russia With Love which of course, was Desmond’s first 007 film. Daryl has visited many Bond locations including Pinewood Studios and watched the filming of The Living Daylights at Beachy Head where he recovered a fiberglass Land Rover wheel! Daryl knew Desmond personally and they met many times. He is pleased to be able to show his collection locally and include items specifically connected with Desmond. There will also be personal momentoes, photographs etc. from his family. The collection has featured many times in the media. The Sunday Express Magazine and other national / international publications, radio, CWN Newstand (USA), Meridian News, Collectomania, The Antiques Show (BBC) and Collectors Lot (Channel 4).
